Jason and his twin brother, Joshua,  receiving their Eagle Scout award. Their Eagle was awarded to them by The Speaker of House of Representatives for Arizona, Mark Killian.  As a gift he also awarded them each a huge flag that he had flown for several days on the flag-pole of the USS Arizona that was sunk in Pearl Harbor, Hawaii by the Japanese in 1941. The flag-pole from this ship is at our state capitol in Phoenix, Arizona. An interesting fact...Grandpa Wilford Marsh Gurr, Jr. was serving his mission in Hawaii when Pearl Harbor was bombed and that ship went down!
